New Chess 4 Charity affiliated charity chess tournament on April 27 at Rachel Carson Middle School in Herndon, VA, for the benefit of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. You can sign up to play, or even just donate without playing.
4 Round Swiss, USCF Regular and Quick Rated
Open, U1600, U1000, and Non-Rated sections
LOCATION: Rachel Carson Middle School, 13618 McLearen Rd. Herndon, VA 20171
TIME CONTROL: 25 minutes, 5 second delay
SCHEDULE: Opening ceremony from 8:45-9AM. Round times are at 9 AM, 10:30 AM, 12:30 PM, and 2 PM. Awards given as soon as section finishes. Blitz (optional) starts from 3:50 PM.
TROPHIES: Awarded to the top five players in each section. In the event that two or more players tie first with 4/4 points, a blitz playoff (5 minutes, no delay) will decide the place trophy they recieve.
